Playwright. Born in Thessaloniki, she emerged in the theatre in 1965 with the City trilogy staged by Karolos Koun at the Art Theatre. In February 1967 the National Theatre produced her three-act play Interaction, directed by Leonidas Trivizas. It was followed by Antonio or The Message (1972), The victory (1978), The cassette (1982), The sound of the gun (1987), all directed by Karolos Koun at the Art Theatre. In 1990 the company of Jenny Karezi and Kostas Kazakos produced Diamonds and Blues, directed by Vassilis Papavassiliou. In 1995 The journey away opened at the Art Theatre Karolos Koun, directed by Mimis Kouyioumtzis. The National Theatre staged her one-act play Deep red sky in 1998, directed by Victor Ardittis, and in 2003 the play To You who are listening to me, directed by Lefteris Voyatzis, was presented in the New Scene of the National Theatre of Greece. The first ANALOGIO in 2005 featured a tribute to Anagnostaki complete with a round table discussion and an exhibition of photos from her life and work.
