Writer, translator, director. Born in Herakleion, Crete, he studied Archaeology and Art History at the University of Athens and continued with Archaeology, Cultural Management and Theatre History in Greece and Britain. Holder of an MFA and PhD candidate in Archaeology and Art History. He was an associate of Lefteris Voyatzis from 2000 to 2013. His first play, Happy Birthday, 2002, represented Greece in the 11th Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée. His play Puerto Grande was performed in ANALOGIO 2005 by Roula Pateraki and in 2009 won the Karolos Koun Directing Award. He has translated Georg Büchner’s Woyzeck. Plays: Happy Birthday (2002), Maimed, a piece of monologue (2002), Puerto Grande (2005), Pferdetanz (Horses’ dance) (2010), Yalta (2017). In ANALOGIO 2008 he directed Presnyakov’s Brothers Terrorism and in ANALOGIO 2014, in collaboration with Zoi Chatziantoniou, Efthimis Filippou’s Scenes. In 2010 he was commissioned by ANALOGIO 2010 the play Pferdetanz (Horses’ dance), which was directed by Sissy Papathanassiou in Eressos, Lesvos and then produced at the Art Theatre Karolos Koun (ANALOGIO 2015), at Delphi Archaeological site in 2016 and in festivals around Greece.
