Theatre critic, writer, translator. Born in Athens, he studied at the Law School of the University of Athens and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris and has a PhD from the Mass Media & Cultural Management Dept of Panteion University in Athens. He writes the theatrical review column in Avgi newspaper since 1978. He has translated classical and contemporary writers from English, French, Spanish and Russian, as well as ancient Greek texts. He has collaborated with major scientific and literary periodicals and has published ten volumes of poetry, prose, essays and theatre reviews. He has taught at the Theatre Studies Dept of the University of Patra, and teaches at Drama Schools. In ANALOGIO 2012 he participated in Stamatis Polenakis’s Distant unknown land, commissioned by ANALOGIO and directed by Sissy Papathanassiou, and in ANALOGIO 2017 he participated in the presentation of the book on Contemporary Slovakian Dramaturgy at the Zappeion Hall. He has written several reviews and theoretical texts for ANALOGIO (Supplement).
