Eugenia Marangou was born and lives in Athens. She is a graduate of Panteion University, the Themelio Higher Drama School, the Department of Theater Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and holds a master’s degree in “Greek and World Theater: Dramaturgy, Performance, Education” from the same department. She has collaborated with numerous private and state theatre organisations as an actress. She has worked for many years in research and scriptwriting for documentary films screened on public and private television and at international festivals. Her plays have been performed on various theater stages. She has received an award from the Union of Greek Writers for her work Ola Pane Kalá (Everything’s Fine) and a State Commendation for her children’s play I Máchis tis Kasetinas (The Battle of the Cassette), published by Sokoli Publications, while the same publisher recently released her adaptation of Aristophanes’ play The Frogs.
