Musician, musicologist, Associate Professor in Music Technology at the Music Dept of the University of Athens. Born in Lefkada, she studied physics at the University of Athens and music at the Hellenic Conservatoire and continued her studies at IRCAM (Paris, 1990-1995) in computer music and music technology (DEA/1991 and PhD/1995 in Music and Musicology of the XXth century, IRCAM/EHESS). She has chaired and co-chaired many international conferences, including the joint conference ICMC /SMC 2014, and written several papers on the use of new technologies in musicological research and music creation and education. Member of the Laboratory of Music Acoustics and Technology of the Music Dept of the University of Athens. Active musician and head of repertory of the Novitango quintet, with many concerts in Greece and abroad. Her students have been commissioned by ANALOGIO to compose soundscapes and musical themes, while their projects have also been presented in the educational programme of ANALOGIO.
