Writer. Studied at the Law School of the University of Athens. First appeared in the theatre with the one-act plays Distant sad song and Games in the salt pans, produced by the Art Theatre in 1957. Karolos Koun staged also his plays The great walk (1959), The fair (1964), The wedding band and Backgammon (1972) and Laurels and oleanders (1979), co-authored with his wife Eleni Chaviara. The one-act Neo Faliro Suburb was written in 1960 and first shown on ERT1 television in 1988, directed by Antonis Antypas. The last play he co-wrote with Eleni Chaviara, With power from Kifissia, was produced in 1995 at the “New Stage” theatre, directed by Lefteris Voyatzis. His plays, written individually or together with Eleni Chaviara, were produced by the National Theatre of Greece, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Experimental Stage of “Art”, almost all Municipal Regional Theatres and many professional companies in Greece and abroad (England, Germany, Canada, USA, Cyprus, Australia, Belgium). They were also broadcast on radio and television. ANALOGIO 2007 included a Tribute to his work, with screenings and discussions, while his unfinished play Iloveyouallthetime was presented by Eleni Chaviara and Lefteris Voyatzis.
