Writer. A medical graduate of Comenius University, Bratislava, he worked as an anaesthesiologist for nine years before turning to theatre and literature. Co-founder of the emblematic GUnaGU theatre of Bratislava, where he is now art director and manager. In addition to plays he has written for radio, television and the cinema, while his oeuvre comprises 20 books—novels, poetry collections, allegorical fairytales, collections for theatre— and over 50 plays. He has been awarded the Alfred Radok Award for best Czech or Slovakian play seven times. His plays have been produced in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and France. His play The day Gagarin died, translated by Yorgos Papagiannakis, was featured in ANALOGIO 2017
