Anastasia Koumidou is a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece. From 1992 to 2004, she lived, studied and worked in the United States, initially as a Fulbright scholar and later at The Ohio State University, where she completed a Master of Fine Arts specializing in acting and theatre directing. During her years in the United States, she worked as an actress, director and acting teacher and collaborated with theatre companies and research institutions. She has also studied acting at the Royal Academy in London, with a focus on Shakespeare.
