Poet, writer. Born in Patra, she studied Law at the University of Athens. She has worked as copywriter, translator, editor, script writer for television and films, producer and presenter of state television shows, journalist, and spent 15 years teaching Greek at American colleges. Founding member of the Hellenic Writers’ Society. She has published 8 poetry collections, reviews, stories, essays, has edited texts and signed film scripts. Her poems have been translated and published in English, French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Finnish, Bulgarian, Hebrew, Italian, etc. Her work has been presented in festivals, events and universities in Europe and America. She has received the State Poetry Award (1993), The City of Munich Award (1995), the Cavafy Award (1996) and the Maria Callas Award of the Greek Radio 3 (1998). In 2014 she was bestowed the award of the C & E Ouranis Foundation for her overall oeuvre. Her plays are The tree (2013), One…Two…Three (2011), I am here (2010), The moon has set (2010), The meaning (2009), When the wolf is away (2005), Family affair, Food (1998), Stolen kiss (1996), Reality is always present (1990), The clown (1983). ANALOGIO first staged her plays When the wolf is away (2005), The moon has set (commissioned by ANALOGIO 2010), One…Two…Three (2011) and The tree (2013), all of which were then produced in Athenian theatres.
