Writer, translator, director. Born in Athens in 1944, he studied literature at the University of Thessaloniki and theatre at the Conservatoire National d’Art Dramatique in Paris, where he lived from 1967 to 1981. He has written 11 plays and 5 works of prose; his plays have been staged by state and private theatres in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities in Greece. He has taught at the Communication & Mass Media Dept of Panteion University, and the Theatre Depts of the universities of Athens, Thessaloniki and Patra. He runs the Theatrical Translation Lab of the Literary Translation Centre of the French Institute in Athens. His play Napoleontia was commissioned by ANALOGIO and presented in ANALOGIO 2007, and is included in the collective edition for that year his play Merope was also commissioned and staged for ANALOGIO 2010, II. Topos/Eressos, directed by Sissy Papathanassiou , and presented again in ANALOGIO 2011 directed by himself.
