Internationally known as the Presnyakov Brothers, Oleg (1969) and Vladimir (1974) were born in the Ural region to an Iranian mother and a Russian father. They studied at Gorky University in Yekaterinburg, where they also taught literature theory and literature (Oleg), sociology and political science (Vladimir) and started a university theatre group with the emphasis on experimentation and theatrical writing. Playwrights, screenwriters, directors and producers, they gained fame with their very first play, Terrorism, which was performed at Moscow\u2019s Art Theatre in 2002, won the same year\u2019s Theatre Award and is regularly produced around the world, just like the rest of their plays.
