One day they are visited by a stranger, who is a beekeeper and appears friendly. The parents worry, however, because their son is late coming home, and they don\u2019t know whether something has happened to him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What does the stranger want? And if the bees are dying, is someone to blame?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An allegorical text on human alienation from the climate change that is upon us.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Excerpt from the play<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This break did me good. I sat down and thought about why I would need that kind of money. I couldn\u2019t find an answer. Then, I think I really looked at nature around me and it was like I comprehended that by being in tune with nature could I be happy\u2026<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The young ones are at war, they swarm above the land and fight to save it. And what do we do? Do we simply observe?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dimitris Foutsias<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dimitris Foutsias was born in Athens and is a playwright, director and group coordinator for creative writing and theatre groups. He has written twelve plays.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These have been staged in Greece (Aliki theatre, M. Kakoyiannis Foundation, Vault et al.) and abroad (Cyprus, Oxford, London). <em>The snow on my teeth<\/em> (Aparsis Publications, 2022) and <em>Meatball<\/em> (Kapa Publications, 2020) have both been published.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A founding member of the theatre company Plasters, he has directed three of his own plays: <em>Rigolios the journey of a stripe<\/em>; <em>Acceptance speech<\/em>, <em>Patrocluss anatomy<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His short stories and poems have been published in collections and magazines and have received awards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the artistic director of the Icaria Festival With my own wings (2023-2024). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dimitrisfoutsias.gr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.dimitrisfoutsias.gr<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-720","play","type-play","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/analogiofestival.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/play\/720","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/analogiofestival.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/play"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/analogiofestival.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/play"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/analogiofestival.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=720"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
