Konstantinos Hatzinikolaou, Anti-dog

Two plays. The dialogues and the stage directions. A common look at the nothing of today, at the absolute far niente. A Boy and a Girl in the tunnel of existence, surrounded by random people or family members who can provide no solution. The impasse of a generation that has yet to articulate its own discourse. Souls trapped in vibrant bodies. Images. Thousands of images of everyday poetry. The games of the mind: the obvious exit from reality. The anti-dog sheds light. At last, the first smile appears…

The walls of the house open up like an orange peel.
Boy and Girl come out of the house.
They follow a narrow dirt track.
The Girl in front, happy, motions the Boy to catch up
with her.
They reach the top of the hill together.
Beneath them, a winter sea as far as the eye can
see.
A luminous anti-dog emerges from the sea and flies
(floats) in the humid air above the heads of the Boy
and the Girl, who look on fascinated.
They take off the ground and follow him.
When they get near, they are assimilated into the
dog. The body grows quickly, rises high up and fades
away.

Blinding light, and a supernatural cold is generated
by something invisible and freezes the room.
