Description

Gaiane, an undocumented private nurse, and Kostas, her terminally ill patient, while in the hospital, leap out of the window. Yet, this is not an act of despair, but a liberating, triumphant affirmation of their bond, a dreamlike farewell celebration.

Inspired by the true story of Gaiane Kazartzian’s death and the life of Constantine P. Cavafy, the play imagines an existential encounter which reveals the quiet joy hidden in life’s smallest moments, where human connection becomes an ultimate act of resistance.

Excerpts

Kostas: Remember what I said the first time I saw you?
Gaiane: “I want you to use articles before nouns.”
Kostas: I told you that we had met before.

Gaiane: Prove to me that I exist.
Kostas: Do I have to pinch you? Who helped me with my pajamas? Who helped me shave?
